Welcome to our Balkan Wrestling program, led by the esteemed Coach Ilir Berisha. Coach Ilir is a distinguished wrestler and experienced coach, dedicated to sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for Freestyle Wrestling with every student.

Professional Summary:Talented and experienced wrestling coach with over 14 years of experience in freestyle wrestling mixed with Greco-Roman wrestling. Coach Ilir has trained UFC fighters, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu G2 fighters, security guards, and Chicago PD. He excels in putting together and supervising competitive teams and is an excellent motivator, team coordinator, and youth advisor.

Achievements:

• State Champion (IL): Coach Ilir has proven his prowess on the mat by clinching the State Championship title in Illinois.
• Four Gold Medallions: He has achieved remarkable success internationally, being the proud recipient of four gold medallions in various competitions.
• Kosovo City Champion: Dominating the wrestling scene in Kosovo, Coach Ilir has been crowned the Kosovo City Champion.

• Wrestling Coach (1/1/2010 – Present)
  • Trained students in freestyle, Greco-Roman, combat grappling, and other forms of wrestling.
  • Monitored individual performances during practice sessions, working on suitable forms and categories for each wrestler according to their key wrestling capability and fitness levels.
  • Designed and trained in game strategies.
  • Ensured adherence to safety protocols, measures, and regulations.
  • Supported the head coach in training and teaching wrestling basics.
  • Coached players, answered queries, and fulfilled needs both on the mat and in their personal lives.
  • Worked with the head coach in planning strategies.
